This could be HUGE

... and I felt it deserved a post of it's own.

Common Non-Disease-Causing Virus Kills Cancer Cells

A discovery was made recently that could mean BIG headway in the fight against many forms of cancer. Read the story, it will fill you in on details.

This is also another feather in the cap of data analysis. The hint for this discovery was gleaned from statistics which, prior to now, probably would have taken years to interpret. Heavy duty computers with extensive data-crunching capabilities are really helping out in the medical field.

I hate to be so cynical, but I am.

If it works, it'll disappear.

Years ago I read about a harmless bacterium that eliminated tooth decay. Once innoculated, your mouth would keep the bacteria forever. Safe, effective, and about $250 for the treatment.

To this day, I can't find a follow-up to the story. And I'll bet the researches are dead and buried.

Cripes I find myself totally agreeing with LBB (and also running for cover now just for having read this article).
But thanks for the link anyway. Amazing things could happen if only the world were totally different. How profound is that?

I thought *I* was paranoid! Whew! Well, I hope it's the real deal - that would be nice. And being Metrics Geek Boy, I'm a happy camper for that reason, too.

I concur with LBB. The drug company co-conspirators will wipe all traces of this phenonmenon from the face of the earth.

Watch your back, Dave. Or your blog's back. Or something.
