Be quiet I'll get you something nice...

The words to the nursery rhyme "Hush Little Baby" slay me:

Hush, little baby, don't say a word.
Mama's gonna buy you a mockingbird
And if that mockingbird won't sing,
Mama's gonna buy you a diamond ring.

If you'll just be quiet, I'll spend a lot of money on you. Diamond rings aside, have you priced mockingbirds these days? A high price to pay for a little silence.

I say let the little tyke cry a bit. It's cheaper and helps develop their lungs.

I always wondered what possessed James Taylor and Carly Simon to record their version of Mockingbird. They surely weren't trying to lull any kids to sleep with it.

yeah, develop his lungs so he can scream he hates you when he turns 12 and you won't let him have the newest I-phone.....

Sparky prefers techie-gifts as opposed to bling. (Like his Daddy!)
