So there I was...

Looking through some old photos of vacations, and found this one.

We were on a cruise to the southern Caribbean, and were chilling out in the spa on the pool deck late at night. Like, maybe 3 am.

I am hurting bad for a vacation - it's been quite a while since I traveled outside the US. I think that, the moment I get through the turmoil going on in my life right now, I shall be calling Brenda, my travel agent.

Dave, a vacation sounds so good right now. I would love to do something before the baby gets here, not gonna happen but it would be nice. I know a bunch of us (garage folks) have been talking about a mexico trip next Feb.... If nothing else, Drunkfest is coming up, sorta a vacation!

Travel is awesome...go for it as soon as you can.

It could be worse Dave. You could be like me and have never even been outside the US yet. I'm still looking for that partner to take my passport required traveling virginity. ;-)

I hope you get a chance to take a vacation soon. Taking trips to Nashville for work just isn't considered a real vacation.

At first I thought this was going to be a Caption This type thing. Here's what I came up with, anyway.

"Hey cowboy, any chance of a threesome?"

I mean that in the nicest possible way, though. :)

Wait...are you the guy in the hat, or the guy who wants to JUMP the guy in the hat? Either way, we need more frontal nudity on this blog....

Sign me up! I would do anything to escape right about now....

And you're right - a vacation would be the perfect way to celebrate when all the b.s. is done and over. Kind of like a cleansing of all the negativity. Get back from a week of fun in the sun and start all over.

Let's leave tomorrow.

My advice? Don't wait for the BS in your life to clear. There's nothing like tequila nights and bikini bottoms to clarify things. When you get back you'll be more clear-headed and able to deal with everything from a relaxed, refreshed, and renewed perspective. Go soon!

Never wait. What are we all waiting for? For the stress to let up? It never does. For us to have more money in the bank? We never do. For the "right time"? It's never the right time.

Just go forth and vacation, Dave.

And um, if it happens to be in Disney...you let me know. I'll meet you at the "It's a Small World" ride. I'll be the girl with the cotton candy and the Minnie Mouse hat.

CP.

I wanted to stop by and thank you for your kind words after your visit to my blog. Like one of the other readers said, take the vacation and take your daughter. It's amazing how much we take for granted. You never know when there won't be a tomorrow.

That looks like so much fun...I am ready for a good vacation too.
I think a cruise would be awesome, have never been on one before.

Thanks GOD I'm not the only weird ass chick who's never been outside of the US! Go on vaca...don't worry, your problems will still be waiting when you get back. You'll just see them as less problematic.
